(Episode 48) Presidential Minisode 5: James "Florida Man" Monroe

Welcome to our fifth minisode and, hence, our discussion of the fifth POTUS: James Monroe.  Monroe was "Anti-Administration" in the sense that he opposed Hamilton's policies as the Secretary of Treasury.  You may remember him in reference to a couple other major events which occurred during his presidency, such as the acquisition of Florida, or the signing of the Missouri Compromise and proclamation of the Monroe Doctrine

What you may not remember - or may never have learned - is that he was kind of a bad lawyer, and being President made him broke as hell.

Join us as we revisit his "Era of Good Feelings."
