(Episode 63) Presidential Minisode 20: Dirty Fingers and a Bulls**t Metal Detector - The James A. Garfield Experience

In this episode, we discuss our 20th POTUS, James. A Garfield.  A seasoned politician who served nine terms in the United States House of Representatives, Garfield was somewhat surprised by his party's nomination in 1880.  He served as President for only 200 days, after which he was assassinated by Charles J. Guiteau.  Poor Garfield hung on to life for weeks, enduring all manner of questionable medical treatments while reporting to the public that he was a-okay.  Join us and learn about Garfield's short (but eventful) time as POTUS, and the weird crap he endured toward the end.
